Ruffing Heads Orange County Architect Unit

Paul J. Ruffing, principal of Ficker & Ruffing Architects, has been elected president of the Orange County chapter, American Institute of Architects. He succeeds Brian P. Dougherty.
Other new officers are Donald W. Caskey, Coleman/Caskey Architects, vice president; John W. McMurray, McMurray/Sands/Lyons Architects, secretary, and J. Craig Combs, Craig Combs Associates, chief financial officer.
Named to the board of directors were Jean-Paul Jean, Aram Bassenian Associates; Philip L. Kroeze, Leason Pomeroy Associates; Donald R. Lee, Langdon Wilson Mumper Architects, and David Viggiano, Aram Bassenian Associates.
Honorary membership was conferred upon Ed Mulder, Golden West College architectural drafting instructor, for his 25 years of teaching in the Orange County community college system.
