NBC got scooped last week on parent company General Electric’s sale of its $3 billion-a-year consumer electronics business and NBC News President Lawrence Grossman says he’s embarrassed. NBC is being struck by the National Assn. of Broadcast Employees and Technicians--about one-third of NBC’s work force--but Grossman said the strike was “no excuse” for missing the story.
