This Dodger Observer Scores With Sarcasm
I am sick and tired of disloyal Dodger fans who vilify the Dodger organization, management and farm system. After all, the Dodgers supplied more all-stars, six, at the All-Star game than any other organization. These included two dominant starting pitchers, Rick Sutcliffe and Sid Fernandez; a flame-throwing reliever, John Franco, and a graceful left fielder who hits for average and power, Jeffrey Leonard.
Moreover, Peter O’Malley proved he is a shrewd judge of baseball talent in passing on Tim Raines. Anybody who has seen the Dodgers play know that an All-Star game MVP center fielder who had hit 7 home runs, driven in 37 runs, had a .346 average and stolen 25 bases in less than a third of a season could never fit in with the ’87 Dodgers.
