Apparently, the old saw about culture moving inward from both coasts is holding true--at least where neo-Beatlemania is concerned. The ‘60s/’80s craze has been rekindled in Dallas with Beatle City, a new multimedia exhibit involving stage sets, music and 2,000 pieces of memorabilia. Much of the exhibit revolves around items on loan from Liverpool’s Beatle City Museum, which is moving into a new building, but about 1,000 items on view were collected over the last 20-odd years by three local Beatlemaniacs. Beatle City promoter Ken Brixey expects 300,000 visitors to Beatle City, which opened last Friday and closes in January.
