Quaker Oats’ income rose 35% to $243.9 million for the year ended June 30. Income for the fourth quarter was down slightly at $71.1 million, compared to $73.1 million a year ago, the Chicago-based company said. Sales were up 28% for the year. The company credited gains in international grocery products, especially in Europe, and increased orders for Fisher-Price Toys. Operating income for the company’s U.S. and Canadian grocery products was up 18%.
