WASHINGTON — President Reagan will address the nation in a speech today at 5 p.m. PDT from the Oval Office.
ABC, CBS and NBC will interrupt regular programming to televise the speech. Cable News Network also will carry the address live.
The White House kept a tight lid on details Tuesday, saying only that the speech would be about 18 minutes long and that its content was not final.
Reagan is expected to give his reaction to the Iran- contra hearings in Congress and discuss his agenda for his remaining months in office.
