Royal Dutch/Shell Group’s income went up 32% in the second quarter to $1.083 billion. The London-based company said exploration and production earnings increased during the quarter due to higher crude oil prices and lower exploration expenses. Manufacturing, marine and marketing income was sharply lower, it said, while its chemical sectors improved. Revenue was up 20%.
