Memories of Jesse Unruh, a Man of Power

As a former campaign worker and as a supporter of then-President John F. Kennedy, I would like to congratulate The Times for the excellent article on Unruh (Part I, Aug. 5).
Indeed, as a political figure of this state and the nation, “Big Daddy” never ceased to forget the common individual. He never forgot the bad times of the less fortunate, for he also had a big heart.
