TV evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, who disclosed to church leaders reports of PTL founder Jim Bakker’s extramarital affair, told the Houston Chronicle that a probe of financial mismanagement at the bankrupt ministry will result in prison terms for some PTL officials. He did not name names. A Charlotte, N.C., grand jury began its investigation into alleged financial impropriety by PTL officials and apparently will focus on possible mail or wire fraud.
