THE OBSCENITY DEBATE

Nathan Post commented he wished UC Santa Barbara’s KCSB-FM would just “grow up” (“He’s Crusader Against Indecency,” by Dennis McDougal, Aug. 20). Let me see if I have this straight.
KCSB is a college radio station, staffed primarily by students, presenting programming alternative to that offered by commercial stations. As a result, the programming reflects a variety of musical and political perspectives.
Post is 34, has worked at a series of odd jobs since he graduated from UCSB (including his current stint as a shoe salesman) and still lives with his mother. In his spare time, he writes letters to everybody he can think of complaining about his “favorite” radio station.
