Pan Am Supporter

James Flanigan finally has joined the “Let’s Knock Pan Am” game (“Pan Am Crisis: Desperate but Not Hopeless,” Aug. 12) played by thousands of others, who obviously feel it is un-American to support a U.S. company. Too bad Ed Acker is still running this once-great airline; Lee A. Iacocca would have solved the problem by asking our federal government to give him several million in tax dollars and then show his appreciation by importing future aircraft from Airbus Industries of Europe.
