A Thousand Oaks man was fatally shot Tuesday after an argument on a remote Agoura street, and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies arrested a nearby resident in connection with the shooting, deputies said.
Mark Kevin Simondet, 25, died at the scene in the 29600 block of Mulholland Highway about 7 p.m., minutes after paramedics arrived to administer emergency treatment, said Deputy Van Mosley.
Arrested in connection with the death was Leon Ozark, 25, of Agoura. Ozark was being held without bail at the Malibu Sheriffs’ Station, Mosley said.
After an argument, Ozark took a .22-caliber rifle from his truck and shot Simondet, Mosley said.
Investigators had not determined the nature of the disagreement or a motive for the killing.
