Larry Cochell was named coach of Cal State Fullerton’s baseball team, replacing Augie Garrido, who moved to Illinois.
Cochell, 47, coached last year at Northwestern and before that was at Oral Roberts, Cal State Los Angeles, Creighton, and Emporia (Kan.) State.
He has a career record of 685-384-2.
