Two Professors Given Grant for Research

Two UC Berkeley professors, Stephen E. Barton and Carol J. Silverman, have been awarded a $1,000 research grant from the Community Assns. Institute Research Foundation for their work on common-interest communities.
Both are research associates at the university’s Institute of Urban and Regional Development and are the recipients of the first grant awarded by the CAI Research Foundation.
