Orange County College Roundup : Long Beach Wins Titan Volleyball Final

Tara Cross had 17 kills to lead Cal State Long Beach to a 15-10, 7-15, 15-9 victory over UC Santa Barbara in the championship game of the Titan-Mizuno volleyball tournament Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.
Cross was the tournament MVP for Long Beach (13-0), 16th-ranked in the country. The Gauchos fell to 7-3.
Fullerton finished in a tie for seventh place after losing to Boise State, 15-8, 15-11, and Utah State, 17-15, 15-7.
In women’s soccer:
Westmont 2, UC Irvine 1--Freshman Lisa Hawkes scored off a free kick to lift host Westmont over UC Irvine in a nonconference match. Sophomore Alicia Braverman scored the only goal for UCI (0-2-1).
