Road Project Approved: The California Transportation Commission, meeting in San Francisco, on Thursday approved a $996,000 project to improve a portion of Garden Grove Boulevard. Caltrans Director Leo J. Trombatore said the project, along the stretch from Bolsa Chica Road to just west of Beach Boulevard, will involve resurfacing, shoulder repair and installation of a traffic signal system at Edward Street. The city will design the project and be responsible for all construction, Tombatore said.
