Old foes, friends and former players gathered at the Santa Barbara Mission to attend a funeral Mass for Duffy Daugherty, former Michigan State football coach who died last week at age 72.

Among those attending were former Oklahoma coach Bud Wilkinson, former Nebraska coach Bob Devaney, Brigham Young Coach LaVell Edwards and Bill Yeoman, Daugherty’s former assistant and later head coach at the University of Houston. Also attending were former Spartan players Gene Washington, George Webster, Frank Kush and Brad Van Pelt.
