Four Palomar League Teams Make Top 10

SAN DIEGO — Mt. Carmel, with its 14-7 victory over Mira Mesa Saturday night, became the fourth team from the Palomar League to make the Times’ San Diego County prep football Top 10.
Mt. Carmel, which has allowed just seven points in three games, is at No. 8 this week. Vista (No. 3), San Dieguito (No. 7) and Fallbrook (No. 10), are the other Palomar League teams in the Top 10.
Sweetwater, which beat Kearny, 49-6, Friday night, is still ranked No. 1. This week Sweetwater takes on Lincoln, the highest-ranked section 2-A team at No. 5.
