With Bob Woodward back in controversy with “Veil: The Secret Wars of the CIA,” his William Casey bedside companion, Outtakes got to wondering what happened to movie plans for his John Belushi expose, “Wired.”
A lot of Hollywood people thought it would never get made. And a lot of people may be right.
Producer Ed Feldman gave the classic producer’s response: “Once we have the money, we can be before the cameras in three months. We don’t have it yet, so we’re busy on other projects.”
All he needs is $10 million. His previously announced elements are still intact--Robert Markowitz directing an Earl Mac Rauch script starring newcomer Michael Marks.
“I have to be philosophical about it. All the things I really wanted to do took years to get financing. ‘Wired’ could happen next year or five years from now--but I will make it.”
