A man held up the regional headquarters of Mary Kay Cosmetics Saturday morning, taking an undetermined amount of money and leaving two employees bound, police said.
James Patrick Matthews, 35, of Westminster is a suspect in the robbery, Police Lt. Leslie Harrison said, and an all-points bulletin has been issued in the Western states.
Apparently the two women working late in the office at 3500 Hyland Ave. knew the suspect and allowed him inside at 2 a.m., Harrison said. The man pulled out an automatic pistol and robbed the business, Harrison said. The women were bound but not hurt.
Police described the suspect as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was driving a 1984 maroon and silver Buick Regal, license 1MXC023, Harrison said.
