Nebraska quarterback Steve Taylor, who injured his left shoulder for the second time this season, is expected to miss this weekend’s Big Eight Conference opener with Kansas, Coach Tom Osborne said.

Osborne also said that wingback Von Sheppard may be lost for the season with a knee injury.

Sheppard, who had major knee surgery last year, injured his other knee Saturday against South Carolina, apparently when he slipped while returning a kickoff.
