South African police arrested 10 blacks and a white woman in connection with at least 14 bombings and hand-grenade attacks in the Cape Town area over the last year. Police did not say when the suspects were arrested and did not identify them but said they constituted “the complete command structure” of an African National Congress guerrilla cell. The banned ANC is the major guerrilla group fighting apartheid. During the investigation, police seized automatic weapons, 1,000 rounds of ammunition, 11 hand grenades and several limpet mines.
