Silverwood Lake Is Big for Striped Bass and Catfish
- Share via
If bigger is better, and it usually is when fishing is concerned, then Silverwood Lake in southwest San Bernardino County seems to be a good place to fish for both striped bass and catfish.
Several of the stripers and catfish caught this week were well over the 10-pound mark. Tom Moore of Rialto caught the biggest, a 29-pound striper on an anchovy, and Bob Bolls of Agua Dulce caught another weighing 20 pounds west of the dam.
Meanwhile, Louis Rose of Fontana, fishing near the face of the dam, caught a 14-pound catfish.
