Los Angeles Homeless Camp Closes
I think the homeless campground had promising features. But now that it’s closed, there are many unhappy people.
There are two issues, in particular, that I disagree with. The first is sanitation and the second is money. If you really stop and think about it, some of these people face far worse sanitation problems on the street. Further, all this talk about not having enough money is a joke. I think if people really wanted to help, they would find a way.
One thing that made me really happy was that 240 of the 2,600 occupants ended up with jobs. If the camp continued to remain open, can you imagine how many more people would have jobs, and not be faced with the problems of living on the street.
