Japanese Prince Left $28-Million Estate

TOKYO — Prince Takamatsu, younger brother of Japanese Emperor Hirohito, left an estate of more than $28 million when he died in February, a tax official said Friday.
The official also confirmed newspaper reports that Takamatsu’s estate was assessed for $9.7 million in inheritance taxes.
Takamatsu, who was 82, left his widow a sprawling 226,000-square-foot estate in central Tokyo.
