What the hell is wrong with Calendar, Nancy Webber and Lowell Alexander (“ ‘Fatal Attraction’--the Mad Woman’s Case,” Oct. 4)?
In the article we get not only a summary of the Glenn Close/Michael Douglas thriller, but the ending as well. Are all of you insane?
The fun in a suspense film is the great unknown, which you have taken the liberty of removing for future audiences. That is one of the singularly most irresponsible acts that any review/commentary can commit.
All right, talk about Close’s dynamic portrayal of a woman pushed over the edge by love and obsession. All right, talk about Douglas’ excellent portrayal of a man who wants it all--wife, family, and a little on the side.
All right, talk about Ann Archer’s sterling portrayal of the good wife. All right, discuss the plot. But don’t tell readers how it ends!
