SDSU Sweeps 9th-Ranked Texas in Volleyball

Angelica Jackson had a career-high 31 kills and Jackie Mendez added 11 kills and 2 aces to lead the San Diego State volleyball team to a 15-4, 15-6, 15-6 nonconference victory over Texas Saturday at Austin, Tex.
SDSU lost to Texas, the ninth-ranked Division I team in the country, 15-12, 15-9, 17-15, on Friday, but the Aztec were overpowering Saturday. SDSU had a season-high hitting percentage of .480 and held Texas to a .145 hitting percentage.
The Aztecs are 7-10, and Texas is 9-6.
