Honeywell’s income jumped 115% to $69.6 million in the third quarter. The Minneapolis-based electronics company said operating profit in two automation and control units improved substantially. Operating profit was also up in Honeywell’s aerospace and defense business, but down in the federal systems computer subsidiary. Revenue was up 28% to $1.163 billion.
