Earthquake Afterthoughts and Preparing for the ‘Big One’

My 7-year-old granddaughter lives in San Diego. She called to ask me about our earthquake.
I told her the quake lasted less than a minute, that grandpa was in his car and said it felt like he had four flat tires since the car was rocking so much. And yes, it was scary.
She said, “I guess the earth has to exercise!”
