United States Defeats Canada in 3 Games, Will Play Soviets for USA Cup Tonight

The United States men’s volleyball team beat Canada Friday night in the Gatorade USA Cup men’s international volleyball tournament to set up a U.S.-Soviet Union final tonight.
The top-ranked Americans won, 15-7, 15-5, 15-9, before a crowd of 2,939 at the Forum. The United States is shooting for its fourth consecutive USA Cup title.
The Soviets beat France, 15-6, 15-8, 15-4, to advance to the final.
France and Canada will play in the consolation match tonight, starting at 6:30 p.m.
