Orange County College Roundup : Cal State Fullerton Wins in Soccer

Scott Robbins scored with less than seven minutes remaining to lead Cal State Fullerton to a 2-1 victory over San Jose State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. men’s soccer match Sunday on Titan Field.
Fullerton trailed, 1-0, at the half as Jon Ragnarsson scored for San Jose State (4-7-3, 1-5) on an unassisted goal at 18:57.
The Titans (9-6, 3-3) tied the score in the second half. Freshman forward Greg Cipolla scored from 20 yards. Robbins scored the game-winning goal two minutes later.
In men’s nonconference soccer:
San Diego State 3, Irvine 1--John Gunderson, a former standout at Laguna Hills High, scored the only goal for the Anteaters at San Diego. Goalkeeper Mike Gartlan helped Irvine (4-9, 2-4) with eight saves. Gerado Jiminez, Kyle Whittemore and Kurt Lewis scored one goal each for the Aztecs (11-3).
In Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. water polo:
UC Irvine 8, University of the Pacific 3--Greg Wilson scored three goals and Mike Doting scored two to lead the Anteaters at Stockton. The Anteaters (10-4, 5-0), ranked fourth in the nation, held a 3-1 halftime lead, then scored five goals in the third period.
UOP is 7-12 and 0-5.
