Shamir Undergoes 2nd Cataract Operation

JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a cataract from his right eye, spokesman Yossi Achimeir said.
Shamir, 72, who had a cataract removed from his other eye a few months ago, is home recovering from the operation, Achimeir said.
Israeli armed forces radio reported that Shamir should be able to resume normal activities today.
