Fourth-Ranked UCLA Favored Over USC in Women’s Volleyball at Pauley Tonight

It’s not the rivalry that it used to be, but tradition counts for something when UCLA plays USC in volleyball. The women’s teams will play tonight at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
Each team has won four national championships, but fourth-ranked UCLA would appear to have the upper hand in this match, with a 17-4 record, 7-1 in the Pacific 10. The Bruins are second in the conference, trailing Stanford, which is 8-1.
UCLA is led by Lori Zeno, who is fourth in the conference with an average of 4.01 kills per game. She is leading the Bruins with a .373 hitting percentage.
The Trojans (9-7) are ranked 14th and are in fifth place in the Pac-10 with a 5-3 record.
USC has not won a game from UCLA in their last four meetings, and UCLA leads the series, 30-27.
