Vane E. Suter has been appointed executive vice president of Unocal Thailand Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Unocal Corp., Los Angeles. Suter had been vice president for operations in the company’s oil and gas division, where he directed drilling and production throughout the United States since 1984. Suter moves to Bangkok.
Replacing Suter is John R. Murphey Jr., vice president for natural gas and gas liquids since 1985. Murphey will be succeeded by Thomas E. Fisher, promoted from the post of gas manager in Unocal’s Gulf Region.
