Tax Haven in the Caribbean Is in Business With U.S. Blessings

James Flanigan’s column on family farm tax breaks, which pointed out that Tyson Foods of Springdale, Ark., was able to defer millions in taxes, seems timely and appropriate. Especially so since the day before we saw in The Times that two of the Tysons are on Forbes magazine’s list of America’s 400 richest people. That is a loophole that should be closed.
