Iowa football Coach Hayden Fry said he believes running back Kevin Harmon did not knowingly accept gifts from an agent and plans to let him play Saturday against Northwestern at Evanston, Ill., unless ordered otherwise.
Athletic Director Chalmers (Bump) Elliott said he doubts that the NCAA will declare Harmon ineligible on the basis of allegations that he shared in benefits given to his brother, Ronnie Harmon, by sports agent Norby Walters.
