NEW YORK — A nightclub will be the setting for the U.S. Squash Championships this week.
A four-wall glass squash court will be set up in the Palladium for the tournament, to be played Nov. 11-13.
The 50 glass panels which make up the 10-ton court were shipped from England and will be assembled in the disco. It will be used as a dance floor each night after the squash competition.
Five-time world champion Jahangir Khan of Pakistan and Mark Talbott, the top-ranked U.S. player, head the 16-man field which also includes players from Australia, England, India and New Zealand.
