Sen. Lugar Slips on Ice, Suffers Facial Injuries

INDIANAPOLIS — Sen. Richard G. Lugar (R-Ind.) suffered a broken facial bone and a cut over his left eye when he slipped on his icy McLean, Va., driveway Thursday, a spokesman said.
Seven stitches were required to close the cut. Lugar was released by Bethesda Naval Hospital.
