Fire raged through a nearly completed senior citizens’ housing complex in Lancaster early Tuesday, destroying the $4-million, 250-unit facility, officials said.
The blaze at the complex erupted at 5:26 a.m. and was brought under control about an hour later, fire officials said.
A firefighter received a minor burn while fighting the blaze, which leveled the 160,000-square-foot complex under construction at 20th Street West and Avenue K.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
