An electrical malfunction was blamed for a fire Saturday afternoon that caused $100,000 damage to the contents and $40,000 damage to the building housing an electroplating company in the 7800 block of Convoy Court.
A spokesman for the San Diego Fire Department said the 5 p.m. blaze at San Diego Hybrid Lab was contained in the one building and caused no injuries to the more than 20 firefighters who responded to the alarm.
