Federal Express Corp. said it has agreed to purchase 30 Boeing 727-100 aircraft from United Air Lines and five Fokker F27 turboprop aircraft from Air Inter, a French domestic airline. No prices were disclosed. Air Inter’s deliveries of the F27 to the Memphis, Tenn.-based cargo company have begun and will continue into mid-1988. Deliveries of the 727-100s will begin in 1988 and continue through 1991. Following conversion into freighter configuration, the aircraft will be placed in cargo service.
