Girls’ Roundup : Gondringer Sets Record With 38 Points for La Quinta

Donna Gondringer broke her own school record by scoring 38 points Friday in leading La Quinta High School to a 74-24 victory over Bolsa Grande in a Garden Grove League game at Bolsa Grande.
She had set the record with a 36-point game earlier this season.
Gondringer also had 21 rebounds Friday.
Patty Luta scored 10 points for La Quinta (9-3, 2-0). Liz Flores had eight points for the Matadors (5-5, 1-1).
In another Garden Grove League game:
Santiago 43, Kennedy 38--Cathy Burns scored a game-high 21 points to lead Santiago at Kennedy. Michelle Harris scored 19 points for Kennedy.
In a nonleague game:
Santa Ana 67, Anaheim 24--Mona Martinez scored 20 points and Trina Bruce added 16 for Santa Ana (5-4) at home. Santa Ana led, 32-16, at halftime and then outscored Anaheim, 22-3, in the third quarter.
