Soccer Roundup : Florek’s Three Goals Help Kennedy to 5-0 Win

Mark Florek scored three goals to lead Kennedy High School to a 5-0 victory over Santiago in a Garden Grove League boys’ soccer match Friday at Kennedy.
Kyong Kim and Mark Tiening scored one goal each for Kennedy (4-2-2, 2-0).
In another Garden Grove League game:
La Quinta 4, Bolsa Grande 4--Jimmy Brannon scored two goals and Chris Doherty and Chuck Woo one each for La Quinta (3-4-2, 0-1-1) at Bolsa Grande. Mark Miller scored two goals and Juan Duarte and Randy Ruynaga one each for Bolsa Grande.
In the Empire League:
Katella 2, Loara 2--Javier Serrana and Armando Orzaba scored for Katella (7-1-4, 0-0-1) and Don Bradshaw and Kirk Myers scored for host Loara (3-3-1, 0-0-1).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Beach 2, Woodbridge 1--Burt Jaeger and Jeff Poe scored for Laguna Beach and John Ray scored for host Woodbridge.
In the Olympic League:
Orange Lutheran 1, Ontario Christian 1--Scott Runyan scored for Orange Lutheran (5-2-1, 1-0-1) at home.
In nonleague matches:
Corona del Mar 2, San Clemente 1--Will Hill and Sohan Mutucamara scored in the second half for Corona del Mar (1-3-1) at home. Jim Tkach scored for San Clemente.
In a Freeway League girls’ game:
Sonora 1, La Habra 0--Christa Grosso had 25 saves and Christian Dillion scored for Sonora (7-2-1, 3-0) at home.
In a nonleague girls’ game:
Laguna Hills 1, El Toro 0--Kelly Besser scored for Laguna Hills (8-5-1) at El Toro.
