Philip R. James, who played briefly for USC’s basketball team last season, is scheduled for a jury trial in Los Angeles Feb. 2 in Federal Court on counterfeiting charges.
James pleaded not guilty when arraigned Sept. 21 by a federal magistrate.
James, a 6-foot 6-inch forward, played at Texas A&M; and El Camino College before transferring to USC. He joined the team at midseason last year, playing only four minutes. He is not in school now.
