Wendy Ellen Cochran and Omar Moore offered instruction to 360 children in the Encanto Elementary School last term, and their classes ended on a high note--with several performances for the public. The final concert last week brought 750 people to the school auditorium.
“We were amazed,” said Cochran, “because it’s a magnet school and the children are bused in from all around the city. We never thought so many people would show up. We had 1,500 Encanto children at the performances, and the public was so supportive.”
