Fuel Truck Flips; Spilled Gasoline Runs into River

PACOLET MILLS, S.C. — A tanker truck overturned and sent about 3,000 gallons of gasoline flowing into the Pacolet River, authorities said. They said the driver was not injured in the accident Wednesday, which was caused by apparent brake failure. Officials in several communities downriver were advised to watch for the fuel spill, which could interrupt water supplies.
