Akili Calhoun and other high school students seem to be the real victims of Police Chief Daryl Gates’ School Buy program. Such programs, though trying to overcome crime among today’s youth, only demonstrate the infiltration of deception and demoralization by those with authority.
Add to this the remainder of society’s problems, and we realize why our youth turn to drugs in the first place.
