Area Players Sign Letters With Oregon, Cal State Fullerton

Jon Tattersall, a 6-foot, 4-inch, 250-pound defensive end from Agoura High, has signed a letter of intent with Oregon, and North Hollywood running back Chip Grant (5-6, 175) signed with Cal State Fullerton.
Grant, who rushed for 1,900 yards and 28 touchdowns in only 9 games, will room with San Fernando quarterback Joe Mauldin next year at the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. school.
Granada Hills tight end Sean Brown (6-3, 210) is undecided and considering a trip to Oklahoma. Earlier, he visited UCLA, Colorado and Arizona State. Brown caught 56 passes for 605 yards.
San Fernando defensive back Tommy Howard is awaiting the return of standardized test scores. He visited UNLV and is considering Hawaii and Cal State Northridge.
