National Women’s Political Caucus to Hold Awards Brunch

The National Women’s Political Caucus, L.A. Westside, will honor Children of War, an international youth empowerment project, and three women activists at its “bread and roses” awards brunch at 11 a.m. March 6 in the UCLA Faculty Center.
Honorees will be Betty Bumpers, founder of Peace Links, a nationwide community of women committed to diminishing the threat of nuclear war; actress/peace activist Susan Clark, and Carolyn See, a Times book reviewer whose novel, “Golden Days,” explores war and peace.
Proceeds from the event will support women candidates for elective office.
