USD Beats Dominguez Hills in Ninth Inning

The University of San Diego scored two runs with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to defeat Cal State Dominguez Hills, 3-2.
Tony Battilega (3-2) was the winning pitcher. USD is now 9-11.
Dave Pierce struck out 5 in the second game as Point Loma Nazarene split a doubleheader at the University of Redlands.
Pierce (1-2) went the distance in the 6-2 win. Redlands (7-6-1) scored 7 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the first game, 13-10.
